http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_nobel_peacePresident Barack Obama surprising announcement as the Winner of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize has a lot of people talking. U.S Republican Party Chairman Michael Steel says he won the prize with "star power" not for meaningful accomplishments.
The Nobel Committe Chairman Thorbjoern Jagland says that its not prematurely or too early, that now is our opportunity to respond. Meaning our time to act and too change, President Obama has become the face of change. People are inpatient and want result now, though it took 8 to 10 years to get here.
What I believe has happen is the Nobel Committee has given President Obama a larger platform to spread his ideas and leadership.
